What should I expect when I meet with a financial advisor?

What will you ask?

It looks a little different for everyone based on circumstances. If you have your own questions, we will certainly talk through those.

What should I bring?

Nothing. Just you and your partner if applicable. No statements, tax documents. There will be plenty of time to do a financial analysis if appropriate. That is not the purpose of this meeting. The purpose is to get to know each other and see if there is common ground for moving forward together.

Will you try to sell me something?

Absolutely not. That's not how we operate at the Parker & Burke Group, which is a little different than most advisors out there. The days of the heavy-handed sales pitch from a financial advisor are over and if you're not experiencing a difference yet, you've been working with the wrong financial professional. So the answer is no, no selling at all. Just talking and getting to know each other.

What will happen after the meeting?

If you feel like we're a good fit and would like to move forward, we will schedule a time to meet together to take a deeper dive into your personal financial goals.
